Senior Aide will not step foot in the White House

One of Donald Trump's senior communications staffers says he will not take the job of White House communications director after all.

In a statement, Miller said he felt he needed to devote more time to his family.

The flurry of announcements ended weeks of rumors and jockeying for position among Trump's campaign veterans and supporters.

Jason Miller on Saturday backed out as White House communications director, telling Politico he was doing so for family reasons.

Miller travelled extensively throughout the presidential campaign - even serving as Trump's warmup act in several rallies. "Jason will help President-elect Trump Make America Great Again!"

Jason Miller was appointed director of communications and Dan Scavino was named director of social media. Before that, he was communications director for the Republican Conference in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Miller's tasks during the campaign included speech writing, policy advice and speech-making himself as an occasional warm-up act for Trump.

A Twitter follower asked who she was referring to.

Conway said she is humbled and honored by her new role.

One source said the affair became known to people involved in the Trump campaign and transition for "a number of months". "I anticipate keeping on supporting the President-elect from outside after my work on the Transition finishes up".

"I do politely mention to them the question isn't would you take the job, the male sitting across from me who's going to take a big job in the White House".

He included: "My better half and I are likewise amped up for the landing of our second little girl in January, and I have to place them before my profession".
