Amit Shah invokes 'fake' Gujarati pride after 'development gone crazy'

"We are seeking an answer from you (the Congress) for injustices that the three generations of your rule did to us", said Shah.

Interestingly, Congress vice president, Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to start second leg of the four-leg "Navsarjan Yatra", from Central Gujarat on October 9.

Ahmedabad, BJP chief Amit Shah today said Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi needed to remove "Italian glasses" and wear "Gujarati glasses" to see the kind of development that had taken place under the BJP in Gujarat. "To be able to see the development, he needs to remove those spectacles and wear Gujarati glasses", Shah added.

The second part of the Yatra, the BJP's road show ahead of the Assembly elections in December, will be started from Mahatma Gandhi's birthplace, Porbandar, on his birth anniversary on Monday. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has waived off Rs 13, 0000 crore loan of 15 richest industrialists of the country", Rahul had said during his Gujarat visit.

"In the last two decades of the BJP rule, the power generation has crossed 100,000 MW", said Shah.

"The Congress is still dreaming about winning the polls".

"Rahul Gandhi (Congress vice-president who was recently on a three-day visit to Saurashtra) comes here and seeks answers from us as to what has the BJP done for the state". But if you are dreaming about winning the polls, you can not go for a vacation to the US.

"People of Gujarat want to know why the Congress has inflicted injustice on the those who were from Gujarat", Mr. Shah said. The primary itinerary shows that Modi will also visit Rajkot to lay the foundation stone for International Airport at the city before moving to South Gujarat for another infrastructure project for Bhaddbhut weir in Bharuch District. While one tour route will be led by Gujarat's deputy chief minister Nitin Patel, the other will be led by BJP's Gujarat chief Jitubhai Vaghani.

The Gaurav Yatra is meant to highlight the achievements of the BJP government in the State.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah will participate in the concluding ceremony of the yatra.
