Florida detective catches 9-foot anaconda barehanded

He continues to narrate during the clip as he says: "You think he got run-over?" Well, most people would feel intimidated and extremely frightened.

As Shaw handles the snake, a co-worker videotaping is heard laughing in disbelief, cheering her on and calling her "crazy".

"Thanks Detective Emily Shaw for really being #ALLin", the post read.

A detective in the Florida panhandle had an unusual call Wednesday, when she had to capture a 9-foot-long Anaconda. It shows the detective first prodding the snake gently with a thick branch.

Eventually, the cop lifts up the anaconda with her bare hands and puts it inside a bag.

The Sheriff's Office said Shaw has experience in handling exotic snakes and believes the anaconda was someone's pet that escaped, said Action Jax News. "Make sure their cages are completely secure and if you decide you no longer want it, DO NOT release it into the wild".

People on Facebook have praised Detective Shaw for her wonderful work.

A police officer and a giant snake faced off in Leon County, Florida, and the officer walked away victorious.
