Texans Owner Called Protesters 'Inmates' - Now Look What They Did In Retaliation

Then, the entire team planned a protest against their owner and executed it during the national anthem before their game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The Texans had indicated there would be some type of protest following comments by owner Bob McNair.

It appears that McNair's apology was not enough for some players.

But McNair did not meet with Texans players until Saturday, a day after two offensive players, star receiver DeAndre Hopkins and rookie running back D'Onta Foreman, skipped practice.

The Seattle Seahawks seem to be hitting their stride as we wrap up the first half of the 2017 National Football League season, and they'll look to extend their winning streak to four games against the Houston on Texans to head into the midway point of the year on a high note. Left tackle Duane Brown told reporters on Friday that players considered a mass walkout but ultimately made a decision to practice and fly to Seattle.

"As I said yesterday, I was not referring to our players when I made a very regretful comment during the owners meetings last week", McNair said in a statement released Saturday.

According to ESPN, Texans players met on Saturday to discuss how to handle McNair's comments.

One of those was African-American NFL vice president/football operations Troy Vincent, a former player, who told the owners that during his playing career he had been called many names, including the N-word, but "never felt like an inmate".

This's what Wilson does best - he scrambles behind the line, rolls a few times, creates plays and throws off balance dots that leave defenses asking themselves, "what more could we have possibly done?"
