Video shows Miami-Dade officer apparently punching woman at UM game

Miami defeated Virginia Tech 28-10.

Police said Farrington lured the victim and her brother into her bedroom and then suffocated Tania with a pillow.

Police have charged a 30-year-old nurse with felony battery on a police officer for her part in a videotaped altercation with a detective at a University of Miami football game.

A now-viral video shows a Florida police officer punch a woman in the face after she slaps him while being ejected from a University of Miami football game Saturday night.

In a statement to ESPN, Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said the department is "gathering all of the details to gain a clear understanding of what occurred".

The video, originally posted to Bartstool UMiami's Twitter and Instagram pages, shows three Miami-Dade officers carrying a young woman, who is wearing a Miami jersey.

Investigators said she placed her body into the back of her 2013 Nissan Altima for several days before moving it into the dumpster. An officer then appears to punch her right in the face. Freitas is Hispanic, according to the report.

It is unclear why the woman needed to be removed from the stadium, or if she was arrested.

The video has been shared on social media, sparking outrage from people who have called for the immediate removal of the officer who retaliated in such a violent manner.
